Meet Dash!
Dash is a 5-year-old tricolor male beagle who was an owner surrendered beagle to our rescue due to a change in lifestyle and wanting him to have a better life and the time/attention he deserves in a good home.
Dash is 5-years-old about 25-30 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccinations (rabies, bordetella, DHPP), and was originally purchased from a breeder. He is reportedly generally well-behaved, good with other dogs, kids, and not recommended for homes with cats. He is house-trained, crate-trained (sleeps in crate), easy-going, and gets excited to go outside. However, Dash has not been trained to walk on the leash extensively, if he is off-leash he may take off, as he has mostly lived indoors.
He loves to play, loves to spend time with family, knows sit, stay, come, leave it, but may understandably get mad when you try to take a chew from him. He may also bark when people come to the front door. Previous owner denied any major medical problems in the past, aggression, or major behavioral concerns, he is responsive to training though has not worked with a trainer formally. He is on a normal diet, allergy supplement, takes no medication, and on Simparica Trio.
**Note: Dash was very popular upon posting originally, so he went from the vet for his intake, to a foster home, dental cleaning and allergy treatment, to a foster-to-adopt home. He is pending adoption, so is no longer accepting any applications. Thank you!
