Chip is a 7-8-year-old male, tricolor beagle who was rescued from a local shelter as a stray. Chip has a heart as sweet as his name, and he is the perfect mix of gentle maturity and playful charm. He’s a total lovebug who thrives on human companionship and belly rubs — especially belly rubs! Chip has excellent house manners, he’s fully housetrained and hasn’t had a single accident in his foster home–what a good boy! He’s perfectly content snoozing in his dog bed and has no interest in couches or human beds, though he is happy to snuggle with you from the floor. His calm demeanor makes him a great roommate-he’s quiet as a mouse most of the time and does not bark unless left alone, so he will do best in a home where people are around often or where he has company.

Walking with Chip is a leisurely joy. He walks slowly and politely on leash, no pulling here! though he may have the classic beagle stubborn streak and occasionally pause for a sniff or two (or ten!). His relaxed pace makes him a great walking buddy for someone who enjoys calm strolls. He’s very well behaved, not mischievous in the slightest. Chip knows his sit and come commands, and he’s working on mastering down. Smart and food-motivated, he loves interactive toys that keep him thinking–his Kong is his absolute favorite!
