Meet Sole
Sole is around 7-years-old, neutered, came into a local shelter as an owner surrender and we rescued him 6/23/25. He weighs 27 pounds, he is happy and content, gets along well with other dogs, and always has a smile on his face.
The shelter told us he probably had a neurological issue, so we had him evaluated by our veterinarian and a neurologist including an MRI. Sole was diagnosed with cerebral hypoplasia, which is a congenital condition which impacts his gait – he’s a little wobbly or marches at times. However, he does not seem to be in pain and does not act like it bothers him. There is no cure, and he does not currently need any treatment.
Overall, Sole is a sweet boy, loves pets, loves to give kisses, and cannot wait for a his new life! He would love a foster or adoptive home where he can enjoy a better life of relaxation, play, and companionship. If you don’t mind Sole’s unique walking (we think it’s pretty cute), he would love to be your new best friend!
